Tucker: Bad Things Happen When You Leave the Door Open

Let’s let all people from all over the world, those who live in poor and/or violent societies (especially those in the western hemisphere) into the United States. Right? WRONG!

As Tucker Carlson points out, why doesn’t Mexico take these immigrants in? TGO

Mexico HAS taken many of them, but the truth is that they don’t have many jobs there. We can’t have it both ways. We can’t have cheap food etc. and not large numbers of people willing to do the work, which people that look like you and me aren’t willing to do. I don’t know what the solution is, but being xenophobic assholes isn’t it. Being lazy isn’t it either. Sadly, the people that created the problem are the ones that need to solve it. The gigantic majority of the people that come here from the south do so for work. If you as an American don’t care about $10.00 a pound chicken and tomatoes, the solution is easy… Throw every single CEO who hires illegals anywhere in their employment pipeline into jail for a couple of years. That will stop it really fast.

    • The reason Mexico doesn’t have many jobs is that like most other Latin American countries, Mexico is a total disaster. It’s government is corrupt beyond belief and the general population is oppressed and helpless to make any real positive changes. Opening our borders is not the solution as we could easily end up with 50 million illegal immigrants in the next five years and instead of paying $10.00 a pound for a chicken and/or tomatoes we’ll be paying 10% more in taxes in order to provide additional social services for these people. Either way we pay.

A better solution, I believe, is to get more involved with issues in our hemisphere (particularly the drug issue) and leave Iraq, Syria, Pakistan, Afghanistan and the like alone. Although it may sound cold and callous, these people are mostly beyond repair anyway; they’ve been slaughtering each other for 1400 years and will continue to do so.

Logistically it makes a hell of a lot more sense to help the countries in Central and South America clean up their governments and take steps to help their citizens. These countries are rich in natural resources and for the most part consist of hard-working individuals. And although mostly corrupt, they are not terrorist governments as is the case in the Middle East. Our focus as a country is skewed in the wrong direction.

Furthermore, allowing illegal immigrants in is not fair for all those individuals who are trying to enter the U.S. legally, by going through the legal process.
