Talk about stupidity… Here we have all of these politicians doing the “right” thing by reading from the Bible every year (on 9/11). For all of you religious people out there I have a question: Where was God on September 11, 2001 as the Twin Towers were being slammed by airplanes? Was he asleep; taking his morning coffee break; busy on more important business? Personally, I don’t believe any of these scenarios is true. I believe there simply is no God. Either way, one thing is indisputable, if there is a God, he was definitely on the side of the terrorists on that day. This would therefore mean that God cannot be both all-good and all-powerful. He presumably could be all-good, but being that he was unable to prevent the attacks, he could not be all-powerful. If he’s all-powerful, he cannot be all-good, as he allowed almost 3000 innocent people to lose their lives.
Folks, God is a myth. How about leaving our childish superstitions behind us once and for all. TGO

Each year at the city’s Sept. 11 observance, politicians are asked to read passages from selected texts, rather than give speeches, so as not to detract from the centerpiece of the ceremony, the reading of victims’ names.
Psalm 46 speaks of God as refuge and strength, dwelling in “his city.”
Former President George W. Bush and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani were to read as well.
The city is observing the anniversary Sunday at the National September 11 Memorial at the World Trade Center site. The ceremony is also serving as the memorial’s official opening.

The person who wrote this article first of all has no knowledge of God and is a complete FOOL! Why are you so concerned with what happened to the people of 9/11 what about the innocent people that have died and are dying of oppression around the world in thousands. God has his reasons he lets happen what he wills and prevents what could happen as he wills! If this person and those who think like him or her dies with this why of thinking, IS A COMPLETE LOSER IN THIS LIFE AND THE HEARAFTER!!!
I suppose YOU have a knowledge of God? Really? Tell me, how did you acquire that knowledge? Did God personally tell you what he is all about? Did you and he have a conversation? Did you see him? Or maybe, just maybe, what you think you “know” about God is what you’ve been taught to believe by others, or read in some unholy book written by mortal men. And how do you know there is a hereafter? Have you been dead and come back to life, or has anyone who has died that you know come back from the dead. I wonder who the real loser is…
