Eagles reportedly have no interest in Colin Kaepernick

The media continues to try to push this douche-bag on teams. Isn’t it blatantly obvious that no one is interested in this locker room cancer? Why in the world would any team, especially those aspiring to get into the playoffs, want this buffoon on their squad?

Give it up already you media scum! TGO

The Philadelphia Eagles reportedly have no interest in signing free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick in the wake of the devastating news that Carson Wentz is out for the season with a torn ACL in his left knee.

Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio reports a league source indicated the Eagles have not shown any interest in Kaepernick, nor is the team expected to do so going forward. The Eagles instead will turn to Nick Foles to replace Wentz, who was enjoying an MVP-caliber campaign. Nate Sudfeld currently sits as Foles’s backup on the Eagles’ depth chart.

It warrants mentioning in the light of the news that Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie had weighed in on the Kaepernick situation earlier this season.

The notion that the Eagles are evidently not interested in Kaepernick in any sense, starter or otherwise, is hardly shocking. The unemployed signal-caller has been passed over time and time again this season when a viable opportunity arises.

Such was the case when the Miami Dolphins lost Ryan Tannehill for the season, as the team instead opted to lure Jay Cutler out of retirement. The same scenario also played out with the Baltimore Ravens when the team was navigating an injury to Joe Flacco. And the same can be said for the Indianapolis Colts in light of Andrew Luck ultimately being unable to play at all this season.

The report concerning the Eagles’ apparent lack of interest in Kaepernick interestingly comes on the heels of NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Monday insisting again that the quarterback is not being blackballed by the league or its owners.

However, with each and every time Kaepernick is ignored by a team with perceptive needs at the quarterback position, the case arguably becomes stronger against Goodell’s claim.
