The amount of manpower and the cost associated with fighting terrorism across the globe in order to prevent these Islamic extremists from successfully carrying out their plots is mind-boggling. Just think, all of these resources and energies could be put to a more productive, positive effort than defending ourselves as a species from these religious scum. HAMBURG, Germany – Germany’s federal police president says the terrorist threat facing the nation is “more serious than ever before,” but is urging calm as top security officials meet to discuss procedures.

Matthias Seeger is quoted by Friday’s daily Bild newspaper as saying that security officials view the current threat as the highest the nation has yet faced in recent years, but insisted that officers were prepared for many different scenarios. Some 2,500 extra officers are patrolling German railway stations.

The comments come as the nation’s top security officials gathered to discuss further measures to ensure public safety.

Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere said Wednesday that authorities have concrete indications that Islamic extremists could be plotting to target Germany.
