Yesterday, August 9, 2011, Caylee Anthony would have turned six years-old; how sad. I wonder how her mother felt? She was such a cute little girl…
As far as Casey’s probation is concerned, I seriously doubt that she would be required to serve any time, particularly in Florida. But we’ll just have to wait and see as the Casey saga continues… TGO

As what would have been Caylee Anthony’s 6th birthday arrived on Tuesday, questions still remained about whether the mother acquitted of murdering her will soon have to come out of hiding and report to an Orlando probation office.
Judge Belvin Perry’s ruling to settle the confusion over Casey Anthony’s one-year probation sentence for check fraud is expected to come down later this week. Department of Corrections records indicated that the agency supervised Anthony while she was in jail awaiting trial for her daughter’s murder, but the sentencing judge, Stan Strickland, recently filed an amended order to make it clear that he intended for her to serve probation after her release.
Defense attorneys argued at a hearing last Friday that Judge Strickland no longer had the jurisdiction to alter the sentence and that requiring Anthony to serve probation again would be a double jeopardy violation. Perry called the whole situation a “mess” and said he needed to do additional research before ruling on the validity of Strickland’s amended order.
Anthony’s attorneys also claimed that requiring her to report for probation in Orlando could endanger her safety because she has been receiving threats since her release from jail last month. Following her acquittal on murder, manslaughter and child abuse charges on July 5, Anthony completed a sentence for four counts of providing false information to law enforcement and was released on July 17.
Casey Anthony’s location has remained largely a mystery since she walked out of Orange County Jail. There were reports that she boarded a private plane owned by a former member of her defense team that night and flew to Arizona or California. In recent days, some online reports have claimed that she was seen on the attorney’s property in Rancho Santa Fe, California, but that has not been confirmed.
TMZ posted photos last week that the site claimed showed Anthony shopping in Columbus, Ohio. The identity of the woman in the photos has not been verified.
Strickland’s amended order would require Anthony to report to a probation office in Orlando in person to begin serving her sentence. She would also eventually need to provide her address to her probation officer. While it is possible for her to do probation out of state, that would require the other state to approve of her transferring there. If Perry upholds Strickland’s order, the defense has requested she serve “administrative probation” to avoid returning to Orlando.
In observance of Caylee’s birthday Tuesday, BringKidsHome.org is organizing a balloon launch “in recognition of a better future for all children” at 6 pm at the site where the 2-year-old’s remains were found. The organization also planned to unveil their design for a memorial walkway.
