The sad part of this story is that while this freak, Warren Jeffs, rots away in prison, another scum-bag will take control of the church and religious idiots left behind; and so the ignorance and superstition will continue.
The ones I personally feel sorry for are the children, who would have been better off had they been the offspring of chimpanzees, instead of the assholes that brought them into this world to be indoctrinated by religious zealots. TGO

SAN ANGELO, Texas (AP) — A nephew of convicted polygamist sect leader Warren Jeffs has told a Texas jury that his uncle sexually abused him as a young boy.
Brent Jeffs testified Saturday during the sentencing phase of the 55-year-old Warren Jeffs’ trial. A jury convicted Warren Jeffs on Thursday of sexually assaulting two underage girls and could sentence him to life in prison.
Brent Jeffs testified that his uncle sodomized him when he was five years old. Warren Jeffs was never charged with sexually assaulting his nephew, but Brent Jeffs says he and his uncle reached a settlement in a lawsuit filed in 2003.
Jeffs represented himself during the trial, but he walked out of his sentencing in protest Friday. He has been held in another room in the courthouse.
