Gunmen kill 4 anti-al-Qaida fighters in Iraq

These people truly are barbarians. Their life consists of nothing but turmoil, violence and hatred, all of which is inspired by religious belief. Sad as it is, each and every American life lost in the war in Iraq was wasted. These young men and women lost their lives and unfortunately it was all for not; we have the Bush administration and politicians in general to thank for this. They make decisions wearing their $5000 suits, $1000 shoes and monogrammed shirts as if the men and women who have to fight and eat dirt for months at a time in toilet bowls such as Iraq and Afghanistan are expendable. In truth, it is the politicians who are expendable. As Henry Louis Mencken so accurately stated:

“A professional politician is a professionally dishonorable man. In order to get anywhere near high office he has to make so many compromises and submit to so many humiliations that he becomes indistinguishable from a streetwalker.” TGO

BAGHDAD – Iraqi officials say gunmen killed four anti-al-Qaida Sunni fighters in an execution-style slaying south of Baghdad.

Interior ministry officials say the attackers, wearing military uniforms, raided the houses of six members of the government-backed groups known as Awakening Councils on Monday. They dragged the men out of their homes near Youssifiyah and sprayed them with bullets, killing four and wounding two.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to talk to the media.

Insurgents frequently target Iraq’s security forces and their allies to undermine confidence in the Shiite-dominated leadership.

The Councils played a key role in reducing violence in Iraq but their future role in the country’s security network remains uncertain.
