I agree with everything he says, and I get it. BUT, having to pick and choose words in order not to be construed as a racist misses the point. We have to get to a place where black people do not think (or shouldn’t care) if white people make a “monkey reference”.
Last time I checked, Caucasians, Negroids and Mongoloids were the three major races that human beings belong to, with many other combinations of course. We are ALL descendants from apes (all of us). So, what is the issue??? There is no one walking around with a tail that I’m aware of. Therefore, none of us are monkeys.
My point is, drop the “monkey-complex”! We are all people, we are all human beings. Being offended by a meaningless reference to monkeys shouldn’t offend anyone (anyone outside CNN or MSNBC) who use it as a political tool that is.
