People really should put things in perspective… I realize that the trial of Casey Anthony was emotionally-charged because it involved the death of an innocent little girl. I also realize that everything points to Casey as the killer, even though she was acquitted of all charges against her other than lying to authorities. Yet, how is it that this young woman, who from all appearances was brought up in a dysfunctional family, who may have even been sexually abused, is the most hated person in America?
We have political leaders such as George W. Bush declaring an unnecessary war on Iraq and in so doing sending three hundred thousand of our young men and women to fight knowing thousands of them would lose their lives, or return home maimed for life, while his partner in crime Dick Cheney made millions with Halliburton. We have Wall Street executives and CEOs, some of which are professional swindlers, responsible for the collapse of our economy, the loss of millions of jobs and hundreds of thousands of foreclosed homes; with tens of thousands more in the pipeline. We have serial killers who torture and ruthlessly murder handfuls of innocent people. We have religious leaders such as Warren Jeffs maliciously indoctrinating weak-minded people, raping young girls and destroying entire families. And yet Casey Anthony is the most hated person in America? Really? Are Americans that stupid? Are people such emotional cripples and so easily manipulated by the media that we can ignore crimes that affect millions yet focus on Casey Anthony as the worst individual in the country?
I am by no means condoning what Casey Anthony appears to be guilty of. If she did in fact kill her little girl she is a despicable human being that should be behind bars for life, if not sent to the electric chair. But as it stands right now, she was found not guilty of murdering Caylee.
Why don’t we Americans learn to focus on the BIG picture, the things that affect the daily lives of millions across the land? The little things will take care of themselves… TGO

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Casey Anthony, the Florida woman who was found not guilty recently of murdering her two year-old daughter, is the most hated person in America, according to a new poll that tracks public perceptions of celebrities.
Anthony, 25, who is now in hiding after being released from jail in July, was more disliked than California’s “Octomom,” former football star O.J. Simpson and socialite Paris Hilton, according to the poll released on Wednesday by E-Poll Market Research.
Anthony was acquitted in July of murdering her daughter Caylee in 2008, to the surprise and outrage of many legal pundits and millions of Americans who had watched her six-week trial live on television.
California-based E-Poll’s E-Score Celebrity research for the first week of August showed that 53 percent of those questioned were aware of Casey Anthony and her story, and 94 percent of those people disliked her.
Anthony was also considered “creepy” by 57 percent of those questioned and “cold” by 60 percent of respondents.
Former “The Hills” reality TV show star Spencer Pratt was second in the “total dislike” category, followed by Nadya Suleman, the unemployed single California woman who gave birth to octuplets in 2009 despite already having six children. O.J. Simpson — who was acquitted in 1995 of murdering his ex-wife and a friend in 1994 — came fourth.
The E-Score Celebrity poll is carried out weekly among a representative sample of 1,100 respondents aged 13 and over. It ranks more than 6,000 celebrities in terms of public awareness, appeal and 46 other attributes.

Those faceless, nameless, people that answer them are the same people that typically will place multiple votes when they can to make their point that they are upset with the verdict. Concludes to me only that they are unaware of exactly how the Florida prosecution failed so miserably and the cost the tax-payer is a now an endless list of costs and payments that will soon be due to the victim Casey Anthony. -Jane
Polls.. Never did like them myself but one thing can be said about them – they speak the truth about the faceless, nameless, people that answer them.
If I ran a poll with a thousand participants as to what NFL quarterback they hated the most and it gave a clear cut answer as Brett Favre, than the logical headline created by the poll would be, “Brett Favre, the most hated NFL quarterback.”, of course keeping in mind that he is the most hated in the minds of those thousand participants and maybe only 501 hated him, but the poll spoke truth – Personally, it would have to be a Dallas Cowboy in my book.
A current poll on our economic situation produced this headline, “…Poll finds Americans believe ‘the worst is yet to come’… ” and that is the truth the poll is speaking. Of course it could be analysed a million ways…maybe the majority of the people were pessimists, etc, etc.
Like I said about polls, never did like them myself, don’t see the point to them. If the NFL quarterback I hate the most was Roger Stauback, Troy Aikman, or TONY HOMO, I could care less if 5 or 5 hundred other Americans felt the same way because either way wouldn’t change my feelings and I would also understand that there could be 5 million who didn’t vote that hated Dan Marino.
As for people focusing on the big picture or the things that affect the daily lives of millions across the land – we both know that there are multitudes of people that have spent most, if not their entire lifetimes not even reading a newspaper let alone knowing whats happening in Timbuckto.
Who knows, maybe polls shows how truly instinctive people are. Maybe the truth that surfaces one day is that Casey simply woke up one morning, looked at Caylee and thought, “If this little bitch was dead, I would have a life.” Maybe Casey is in fact a psychopath and conned everybody – if there is one thing people truly hate, is being conned.
That hatred, if true, will turn into even more cash for Casey Anthony. Guess she deserves it since she may have been locked up for more than three years when there was not enough evidence presented by the prosecution to convict her of nothing more than telling some lies. -Jane
