These fads, like Degrowth, are pushed by brain-dead liberals who think they are intellectually superior to the rest of us. These people have no concept of what makes the world work, and they have little interest in what the overwhelming majority of the people in this world go through every day just to survive.
They don’t want growth for the rest of the world, because lack of growth/progress wouldn’t affect them. But to the hundreds of millions of people with no running water, electricity, an abundant supply of food, etc. daily life is a struggle.
In short, the people who push for socialism are shallow-minded elitists.
