This whole issue of guns and gun control could be treated more seriously and actually addressed by republicans if not for the fact that democrats make ridiculous and inaccurate statements about firearms. In fact, they LIE!
Let’s begin with AR-15s. These are NOT “assault rifles/weapons”. They are not “military grade/caliber weapons”. The AR, in AR-15 stands for ‘ArmaLite Rifle’ which is the name of the manufacturer who began its production back in 1954, in Hollywood, California (of all places).
In terms of 9mm ammunition, this is the most common (popular) round used in handguns. But it is NOT a “high caliber” bullet. In fact, it is a rather small round.
I could go on, but you get the point. Liberal politicians lie about just about everything when it comes to firearms. They claim that semi-automatic rifles such as the AR-15 are automatic; they are not. They claim that large capacity magazines are more dangerous than standard capacity magazines. They claim that people can walk into a gun shop and/or gun show and walk out with a firearm with no background checks, and the list goes on…
If democrats want to have a serious, honest debate about some sort of gun control policy, I am sure that republicans will oblige, so long as democrats stop pushing lie after lie about the subject.
One more thing. ALL OF THE GUN LAWS IN THE WORLD WILL BE RENDERED USELESS IF THEY ARE NOT ENFORCED!!! If liberal democrat city commissions and liberal DAs give criminals free get-out-of-jail cards none of it will make a difference! So far, we (the people) have seen that democrat-run cities are a joke in terms of law enforcement; criminals are running wild in these cities. This has got to stop!!!
